Yes actually. I knew @boyafraid for almost two months, we met on this site. We happened to live in the same city and met up in person multiple times. I was so lucky to meet someone on here who was close to my age and shared interests. Got close to each other instantly. Felt like we had known each other since we were kids. Never had a friend like him. I don't care if it was a short time together he means the world to me still. Will never forget someone as amazing as him. He ctb the night of may 16th. If there is an afterlife I hope to see him again. May he rest in peace

My son met a friend on SaSu through the 'make a friend' megathread. They chatted for ages, called for hours and met irl about a dozen times. Unfortunately that was not enough for them to stay alive, but their last months were a lot better.

Sort of, thx. I know it will take years to heal - if ever. Funny thing is that in their chats they mentioned that their families would "probably be sad for a few days" if they would ctb.Last edited:

I've been on the site a few years, but haven't made friends here, granted I'm not really a friend type of person (I struggle to connect to people at all, but online it basically becomes impossible).
I did meet my [not SaSu] online friend of like 7-8 years last year, core memory with lots of great photos... and yet unfortunately our friendship seems to have died, just how it goes.
