I've been having fun watching the situation unfold all morning and part of the afternoon. I don't know how everyone else felt, but for me, I forgot about most of the reasons that brought me here for a while. I considered a couple of times creating a fake profile on FB, but everyone else was doing such a good job so I just sat back and watched the chaos instead.

It has been a good distraction. I made a fake profile a few years ago just for things like this.

Btw right now was involved in a very interesting situation. One guy came to me and asked me to buy him a sandwich. Burger King? Okay, let it be Burger King. I was smoking, asked him if he smokes and offered a cig (he didn't ask me a cig though he didn't have any) We came to BK and I told him, you can buy something on 5-6 eu. He ordered the cheapest single chicken burger for 1.85 eu. I can't believe people there are so modest. I had that before. I asked homeless, does he need anything. He said I just want a cup of coffee. Cup of coffee!!! People are in such a desperate situation and are still not greedy. I am a little bit shocked, I can't believe.

I have just caught up on this thread and I can only say one thing.... How Fcuking pathetic is this person? Seriously doesn't he/she have better things to do with her time? If she doesn't then I do - I need to find the next vulnerable person to persuade to ctb!! Sorry crass joke. If he/she spent as much time trying to understand what drives people to ctb and offering the right support rather than the platitudes in the text books quoted at us by crisis lines and psychiatric care etc then maybe, just maybe they might have earned some respect similar to what this forum has, Instead they have made a mockery of themselves and shown why there is such a need for this forum.

I have been seeing that homeless since summer. Now it's February. What the fuck the country with one of the largest GDP is doing. They manage to get billions from IT companies but cannot provide accommodation for all homeless.

The fact that this site is needed is more relevant than the fact that it exists at all. Give a workable solution for people and follow through with it and there would be no need for this place.
