Has anyone else prayed for death?

Agnostic, and I've definitely prayed for death. Over a decade ago, when I was still religious and quickly losing hope, I prayed for release. Release from sorrow, or from life, I didn't care which. I'm still waiting on that, haha.

When I used to pray way back when, I prayed to die everynight before bed, sometimes even during the day. I literally begged for it, pleaded... but alas that's not how it works. So after about a year I stopped the whole religion thing all together
