I heard about the night night method yesterday, and it made me wonder why I've never heard of it before. Does anyone know of someone who's actually died from this?
I've never heard of anyone successfully ctb by "night-night" method. Is this method actually painless and quick? The author seems so certain, but there seems to be little evidence backing it up.
How to tell if a method works? Should people leave a note saying, I am using this method and procedure... Please tell SS my outcome. Here is my password...

When I first saw this thread I loved it too. But most of the talk about it around the forum is about it not working, failed attempts and whatnot. In my time here, I've not seen a single report of a success with night-night - and I searched for exactly that a while back. The general consensus seems to be it's not a reliable method. Sorry to disappoint.

I feel that many prolifers are making up false failure reports to scare people off. But it's difficult to tell. Successful people also won't come back to report their success.
I've also never heard of anyone succeeding with this. I wish that this method is guaranteed to work. I read about a failed attempt with it and from what I have heard it sounds risky and unreliable. Its so unfair how dying has to be this difficult.
One of the resource links has a section on the glories of night-night and I started out here thinking that was the most obvious, easy method. Reading through the megathread put me off it completely.

In general I'd agree, but in this case I don't think that's too plausible. Night-night isn't getting tons of publicity and people aren't trying it left and right. Most suicide preventionists have probably never heard of it. They have bigger targets- N, SN, hanging, and the like. Just my thoughts though. It also seemed to me that many of the posts about failures were from genuinely suicidal members, they didn't look faked to me. And although you're right that dead men tell no tales, if there had been successes then we might expect to see someone posting saying they were gonna attempt night-night and then never posting again, and I haven't seen that evidence.

You don't see, because you don't search for it. Medical personnel, treat this as ligature strangulation, they won't use night night or any of the SaSu slangs
