I've often been fantasizing about disemboweling myself. I have a pretty perfect knife to do it. A SOG Seal Pup Elite. Definitely one of my favs that I have. I keep her sharp and clean (even though I also use to to cut through fish and certain meats). I've has the strongest urge to plunge it right into me but I'm struggling to pick the right spot

If people do the cutting method is more suggested to do slit the throat than anywhere else. Tho this will still probably be risky to do as cutting normally has a low chance of working but I don't know how your knife changes things here.

When samurai used to use this method, they would slice their gut, because that's where the soul was believed to be, but they would have an assistant behead them immediately after. This method will unfortunately not work without an assistant.

I don't feel right voting. this is an unreliable method as SI can physically take over, stop you, make you call for help, and you're likely to end in a worse position. the type of knife doesn't change that.

This is not the method anybody should really go for. There is a reason this is not done alone in japan. Usually someone else will go for a decapatating strike after stabbing yourself to lessen the pain. But if you insist go for the heart to make it quick as possible

Not the best for quick and relatively peaceful, but this is the classic rendition of seppuku ("harakiri" literally meaning belly slitting). And as mentioned, you should have a "second." Yukio Mishima (author, political activist) died this way in 1970.
