My KN won't arrive in time due to financial issues and I need an out now. I was considering hanging and/or partial hanging but I don't know how to hit the carotid arteries just right in order to pass out more peacefully. Should I just climb a really tall tree and try to break my neck instead?

It's very easy to find your arteries. Just press your finger against your neck and feel where the heartbeat is the strongest. In my experience, it takes a little practise.

You don´t have to worry about your carotid arteries, the rope will hit them automatically and they will be blocked completely when you hang full. Partial hanging may fail when your survival instinct kicks in. It´s very sophisticated to sever your spinal cord with drop hanging, it will rather cause additional pain or a collapse of your gallows.
