I want to take the opportunity to discuss one memorable Indian hanging. There are two actually that come to mind, but for now I'll discuss this one because it sheds light on something you touched on with regard to the culturally different way Indians must relate to death, being in many cases Hindu and believing in reincarnation, in a tight spot I think they're just as willing to cash out their chips. Life is not worth as much over there it seems, with the dense population and poverty, I think it can definitely prove to be too much for some poor souls for sure.

In any case, back to the subject of the hanging video in question. This man was dressed effeminately in a sari, and in the comments section I saw it was speculated that he was gay or trans. Anyway, this man had a downright relaxed and pleasant expression on his face, and had soft, relaxed facial features. It almost looked like he was high on heroin or something, that is how positively mellow he looked. He took a moment to smile widely and waved goodbye to the camera, and then without further ado hung himself from the ceiling fan, barely even twitching. Like he completely spiritually surrendered to death with a friendly, smile on his face, without giving any visible sign of resignation to the fate he had chosen. It blew my mind and I'll never forget that video. He had music playing in the background that many commenters said left something to be desired, it was a very psychedelic sounding, punjabi geetar sounding track, instrumental only. It gave the video a very surreal, trippy quality.
Cam you send me the link to the video you are talking about?

Since I'm in the mood I'll discuss the other Paki Indian hanging video that left an impression.

This woman had barricaded herself in a room using a gate she had locked from the inside. Through the gate her family, including her husband and young children, could fully see her, but could not get to her. Her family looked on in horror and filmed as she proceeded to hang herself from the ceiling fan in front of them using her sari, methodically and in a determined, no-nonsense kind of way, despite her family crying and pleading for her to stop. The whole thing happened pretty quickly, she had her mind made up and there was no dissuading her. It shocked me as a mother because of my own sensibilities surrounding my children and the obligation I feel to live for them in spite of my own pain. Well if this woman had such sensibilities they had clearly completely eroded and failed her. I was left with the impression in my spirit that she was a wife run ragged, neglected and abused, without any hope of relief from her husband's treatment of her, although I have no way to substantiate this feeling. Unfortunately I can imagine her desperation in hanging herself in front of her kids. She must have taken the only opportunity she had and made good use of it, as awful as the ordeal was. To me it was understandable.
I remember seeing this video too and to be honest being shocked that she could even focus on carrying out her suicide with all the screaming of her family thru the window. But the woman sure was determined!!!

I know the Indian type videos you're talking about. They're always hanging themselves without hesitation frequently using their sari's (traditional long dresses). Actually some of the bravest hangings I've seen have been Pakis or Indians who are seemingly quite at ease with the prospect of dying in this fashion and who readily take the leap.

I've obsessed with hanging videos too at various stages along this journey and I have found them helpful. It has been my method of choice. I have toyed around with nooses but never have overcome the feeling of panic at the point where I would lose control. I am keeping this method in my back pocket though since I know eventually someday I will work up to having the strength of will necessary.
I have also been obsessed with hanging videos for quite some time. Older male in my mid 60's and the more I think about it the closer I am to hanging myself to ctb

I have never seen a hanging video that went wrong. They all look like they pass out within seconds and peacefully drift off before the spasms start. It's weird because I've heard people have had bad experiences and have been able to save themselves but why no videos?
Where have they placed the noose on the ones that pass out within seconds. That's my fear is that I will have enough time to panic and try get out

on the majority of the hanging videos from the middle east there is little to no movement. legs are usually shackled at the ankles but the rest of the legs are free. Once they are raised off of their support most just hang straight without kicking. Noose seems to be placed at the side of the neck

There was a suicide by hanging in my area recently. Family were all home at the time. A family member found them shortly after it happened and cut them down but they couldn't be saved. Apparently they stood on a surface, put the rope around their neck and swung out so that they couldn't save themselves by stepping back onto the surface, and just hung there.
Makes me wonder are we all putting to much thought into it? Worrying about the finer details. Should we just say right I'm doing it and that's that? Seems to work for everyone else!!!!
This is my thoughts exactly, I think Im overthinking it
