I've decided on doing full in a secluded forest but I have a few things unclear; how thick should the branch be to hold my weight, whether or not it's okay to hang when it just rained and the branches are wet, would I need a ladder or can I climb a tree? I don't really know what to do in most aspects, I didn't even write a suicide note because I think all of this is too draining, I just want to die asap

Why not bring a folding chair with you?

ImI going at work for a few hours in the morning and I definitely can't carry it around with me. I don't have a car either to put it in there. And i don't have enough money to buy one

Find a branch that isn't looking like daddy longnecks arms. To test if the branch holds your weight simply hang on it with your hands or tie a noose on the branch and put your leg in the noose with your weight, make sure you don't fall and hurt yourself by doing that. Make sure you also have calculated how long the drop should be in order for your neck to break. Use something like a chair or anything that let's you reach further, use your imagination.

This will be my method of suicide, I was thinking of doing a full drop in the woods, climbing will be a bitch though...

I don't have a car, I only have a two-wheeled vehicle, It was supposed to kill me by now but i keep getting unlucky. The amount of near death experiences i have had with that thing is uncountable. But for this reason, i can't take a ladder of some sort.

Maybe just gather a log from somewhere in the forest to use as a little staircase?

Tried this last winter. I went deep inside the bear infested forest looking for a suitable tree with nothing but a small kitchen knife. After a day of scouring I finally found a decent sized tree with a branch the thickness of my neck projecting right angle the point of my hight. A month later, I went to the spot and tried hanging myself, starting off by hugging the tree and progressively letting it go as I start to lose consciousness. Or at least that was the plan. Tried twice but failed both times as I was not able to lose consciousness. This time I'm going with
SN.

I too will hang in the forest and I have pondered the same issues. There is a lot of windfall in the local forest, so it's easy enough to tie the noose to a semi-fallen tree. The challenge of course is to be able to swing free a few inches above the ground. Lightweight hiking stools are readily available, and are easily hiked into the bush. They stand about 10 inches tall which might be just enough if one's rope is tight enough. Other options are trees which have fallen over ravines and gullies.

I would prefer to hang via full suspension, but will do partial suspension if all else fails. Plenty of supports in the woods for that.

My plan is tie a rope to the branch on a tree on top of a gorge. The long branch must be above a steep hillside. I can go down from the hillside and swing, the rope will stop me and lift me up. I found many usable trees and hillsides. But also it is possible find a stump and jump from this.

What is a good knot to tie to a tree branch? Also I'm thinking about what if your rope is longer, would you tie it to the branch, wrap it around the tree, and then wrap it around the branch x amount of times until it is at an appropriate length?

It doesn't matter how long your your is, just make sure it's long enough (over 3 feet). Yes you wrap it around the branch x amount of times.

Every solid knot is possible and remaining rope can hangs freely. Do it maximally simply. Complicated
actions bring next complications. Simple is better!
