I'm thinking of ending things in this month. This will be my third attempt. Previously i tried sn and partial hang. This time i will do full suspension.

In partial hang, one can could do with a thin rope which is 3-4 mm since it doesnt need to carry the whole of you. And with a thin rope you can block arteries easily, no discomfort. No gagging or so.

But when it comes to full suspension yo need a thicker rope for sure. And thickness poses some discomfort like gagging and pain. It have something to do with trachea, ı think. So it make it harder to lose conciousness.

1- Does someone know how to overcome disadvantages of thick rope like gagging and discomfort?

2- when i do hanging, the knot behind my neck is doesnt compress tightly my back of head. Should it be otherwise? Even though i do full suspension, is it a risk that knot doesnt force my head tightly? I think it is not a big problem since it is full suspension. The rope front of my neck will carry a 100 kg of me. Any thoughts?

Using socks where the artheries are can help. The knot behind the head does not need to compress to be a successful and easy hanging like you said the most important part is the front. There was a thread in here somewhere where the guy used socks to compress the right spot, i don't know where to find it but it is helpful.

Have the knot behind your head, somethere between your ears. That will put full pressure on all arteries since they are more toward the front.

Get a good rope. 12 mm (1/2 inch) doeble braided dock line. Comfortable and very strong.

Use a knot the slides easily. You want it to tighten fully. No gagging, just passing out as quickly as possible.

Be alone for at least 30 minutes. Nobody wants to do all this and have someone try to "save" you.

I have 8 mm rope which is very sturdy. I hope this will do. It is made for climbing. For the knot i am using constrictor knot and slip knot.

I dont need it for partial. ı did partial hang before and it was totally painless. In 10 seconds ı lost my conciousness and that was all.

Being saved is my greatest fear at the moment. It's intense because the consequences are being disabled and trapped well into the future. Scares the shit out of me.

Do you know if a 10mm rope (made of polypropylene) is enough to perform complete hang on a 100kg body?

Depends on the material, it would likely work but might be close to the breaking point. Also, if it does work there is a high chance it will stretch out when you put a lot of weight on it making you be much lower than you planned. (possibly turn into partial hanging)

When buying rope, check the working load limits. If it does not have them, find a different rope.
