Very, very sad. She was a very beautiful girl before this happened. This is exactly why I try to steer anyone away from using a gun for suicide. Much better to use N or nitrogen!

That really sucks for her. Im guessing she shot herself in the face, Ive always believed in the side of the head is better, near the brain stem.
She probably put the shotgun under her chin and flinched when she pulled the trigger. If you do it correctly (in the mouth pointed towards the back of the skull) you would not survive.
I'm new in the forum. Could you explain what user mean by N? Is it nembutal? BTW if one knows how to use a gun and how to angle it the chances are not that bad at all. That's way so far it's the method I prefer, though I'd need to wait for some months before being 18 and ordering a gun in the deep web

Seems obvious that putting a shotgun or rifle under your chin has a high failure rate and often results in just blowing your face off. I think these things happen when suicide is rushed and not thought about for a long time. Hence the reason the survivors still want to live after disfiguring themselves for life. Probably in the heat of the moment they took the gun and tried to kill themselves and not thinking the method trough. Anyway i assume this happens to people who suddenly want to take their life and not people who have been depressed/suicidal for a long time.
Yeah, everybody thinks under the chin is a good place, and I used to time ago.
Sometimes I think people spread fake information about suicide only for fucking us and keep us here at any cost, even disfigurated or disabled, like when they say an sleeping pills oveedose is effective, or jumping from not enough height, or this.
I still remember the bitch that told me on Quora years ago that hanging is painful and makes you suffocate. If I knew it wasn't I wouldn't be here now. Man I had so many good spots for Full Suspension in my old home.
Is that by temple? Something like above the ear and a little forward (closer to the eye)
This is why I would combine it with drowning or do it somewhere else I can't be found before I bleed out. I prefer to have N but until I do it's nice knowing I have that method by my side 24/7.

She only told you the obvious: hanging IS painful and it will make you suffocate?!
No it's not, I don't if you're trolling but the only painful thing about hanging is working your ass off to find a good spot for it.
I'm not trolling. I tried to hang myself once and the pain was bad-it was only partial suspension and it made me stop immediately. Felt like my eyes were popping out of my head

Nobody is being wrong here, it depends on how you hang yourself. hanging can be very painful or just a little bit painful, 10seconds and loss of consciousness. It isn't classified as high on the agony degree to be fair. It has a rating of 25/100. And this is an average, it can be only 10/100 in agony or 50/100, depending on how you do it. If done right it can be almost painless.
Maybe I didn't, I'm only talking from my own experience.
I imagine it to be painful.
Hanging is painful and dreadful but ive seen some videos of hanging suicides where they make it look so easy almost painless
I think we have different connotations of what the word pain means. For me the dizzy feeling is not painful, it's like being on drugs.
I fucking hanged myself man and I didn't feel a thing, but I'm very skinny maybe that's why.
Not meaning to be rude, but why did you stop with your hanging? Or you didn't 'succeed?'

I have the same opinion as you actually, a little bit of diziness/mechanistic panic reaction isn't what i consider pain, the same way i don't consider it as "regret" if you feel a mechanical/instinctive reaction
