if one member of my family have a gun is it okay to steal it and ctb with it

well, it really depends on your personal moral compass, doesn't it?
think of it like that: do you care about them and what happens to them after you're gone? do you want them to feel bad about your death?
in my opinion, if your family member won't get in any legal trouble because of it then that's okay.
