Grief is love with nowhere to go
No one to touch
Nothing to feel
Grief is love with nowhere to go, making it seem all too real

Grief is two arms with no one to hold
No one to call or ever grow old
I try to keep standing strong and bold,
But grief left me with no one to hold

Grief is a mountain that you cannot climb
No way over, no reason or rhyme
I'm stuck in this valley of space and time
Because grief is a mountain I cannot climb

It's all dressed up in roses and maybe a string of pearls
But when the casket closes
It will stop my world

Because grief is love with nowhere to go
There is no high, only the lows
If you've lost someone, you already know
That grief is love with nowhere to go.

Really pleased found this poem just now, am really struggling terribly with my grief and its such wonderful words.......................my loss is stifling me to death and yet cant express/process any of it.

Really pleased found this poem just now, am really struggling terribly with my grief and its such wonderful words.......................my loss is stifling me to death and yet cant express/process any of it.

When I came across this poem, it just hit me in the heart. I felt it. My mother passed a few months ago and there are days (many) where I cry so much. The pain.

In the weeks after she passed, I felt like I wanted or needed to scream some place, where nobody was. I wanted to be struck down somehow, I just wanted to be with her again. It killed me that she died alone, I wanted to hold her. Grief has so, so many layers.

I'm glad if this poem gave you some sort of voice to your pain.
