Wow, you have to stir it a lot to make it practically transparent

I always thought SN was easily soluble in water. Even at 0 degrees you can easily mix about 75g in 100 mL of water.

It might vary. I've heard people say they let it sit for an hour or more and only then did it become transparent. Maybe it depends on how hard the water is.

The process can be made faster by just heating up the solution too.
