Help Good hanging locations UK

How would I go about finding a good spot to hang myself in the UK? There's Woods near me but I'm in London so I feel the chance if getting caught and saved is too high. I'd imagine I'd have to travel outside of London but I don't drive anymore, so I'd be relying on the trains to get me wherever.

I guess all that anyone can do is find somewhere where they have no chance of being interrupted, but of course I get that it can certainly be very difficult. For something like this people have to do their own research and think about what is available for near them. But the thought of being 'saved' is so horrific to me, people really shouldn't have any right to interfere with a ctb attempt. I really envy those who managed to succeed with this method.

Do you live on your own? And if so how often do you get visits? If it's infrequent enough, you might be able to get away with hanging yourself at home, providing you do it at the right time.

Yeah you're probably right I really have to explore and find a place. The one place I found near me is very risky though, I'll likely have to go out of London.

I live with family, otherwise I would just do it at home.

I don't think there's a single place outside in England where you could hide long enough to get away with hanging (most of England seems to be very dense). You might have more chances of finding a barren place near but not inside costal areas.

A friend of mine took his life in 2017, he hung himself from a tree in the early morning hours just outside Ipswich, a town in Suffolk. He was only discovered by a dog walker possibly a couple of hours later.

Ah okay that does still sound a little risky. I only wondered about the forests near costal areas because I have come across a few in my travels (such as Dover) that are very far from main roads and towns/cities. Of course I've never went into these forests myself, for all I know there could be other people wandering through them too.

Also seems like the best time to try to hang yourself outside would be in the middle of the night. Hopefully less chance of getting caught as long as you're not in a restricted area.

Where my mum lives would've been perfect, she lives in the middle of nowhere.

Yes he had gone missing originally, and we worked out he had spent some time in his van thinking probably about things. There was a lot going on for him, he knew he could reach out to me. However in his mind things were too far gone, it was very sad but i understand the decision. In the exact same month i was planning my own suicide. Life can be so fucking brutal, i wish it had been me. He had children, family etc. He was a lot younger than me also, but as someone who has attempted on multiple occasions i understood his desperation and despair. As you say the darkness is probably crucial in maintaining cover.

In the 3 or so hours I was there, not one single person came by, so this would of been my spot had I of decided on hanging. Always wise to do a little scoping out first if you can.

The idea of scoping out an area is good. I did that in London already but the best option I can find is still quite busy. I'll need to find a way out of the city if I end up using the hanging route. I'd rather use SN but I'm still waiting on my PO box.

Charcoal is my preferred now, have just ordered all items again after my last failed attempt. I think we did yes!

Ahh I see. Its hard to imagine how busy places are as where I live, there are many very quiet spots, a lot of hangings have happened in my city over the past few months. Oh yes I remember you saying about that now.
