• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

That's what my siblings say they will do and I think they are being dead serious. Thanks for doing the bare minimum by "making sure I'm alive" during times where I'm extensively alone. I don't need to be checked on to make sure I'm still biologically alive for you to feel better and not me. Idk maybe I'm overthinking.

You all live in the same house? You're not obliged to tell anyone anything and they should be aware of that, try to not give in to not reinforce their authority over you which they do not have. Same for your parents - as long as you're the age of majority (which you are). If they call your therapist/gp/police to check up on you just tell them that you're not doing anything to yourself. I've noticed that it's more about the sense of wanting to "defend" you because they're out of options and have no clue what to do, and it's bothersome.

It sucks, i hate those scenarios so much. I told my mom that she's only gonna make me feel worse if she does that.

I know that my friend who was suicidal and was against it and didn't want to die asked someone to help and do these check up things. It's hard to convince anyone that your suicidality is chronic cause most of my friends got treated by others like they were crazy and ill.

oof, i feel that. i so love the bare minimum of people allegedly 'caring' when it seems inherently more self serving than anything else really

Damn, that's cold. The connotation of that phrase implies there's no better reason why they're bothering to check. Self-serving indeed.

i completely understand the way you feel and i absolutely hate when people say they want to check in on me or want to make sure i'm not dead. why do you care if i'm dead? it's not like you're actually around to know if i'm alive. it all feels so meaningless but to them they must feel like a little cherub swooping down to check on my sad, decaying body. they aren't doing much at all to care about your well being besides making sure you haven't killed yourself.
