i just wanted to make a thread appreciating SaSu, i'm a pretty recent user, but i saw it mentioned in a twitter thread about uncensored places to vent, but i've finally been able to get so much off my chest here and actually relate to many people from all over the world in this short time. sure, that happens in every forum, but the thing we bond over is taboo. thank you SaSu!

When I started having suicidal thoughts, I couldn't share my feelings with anyone for a long time. I'm glad SaSu exists, where I can freely talk about my desire to die and read the thoughts of people in similar situations.

me too. everyone irl either doesnt care or is forceful and weird about suicide or mental illness. i like being treated like a normal person here

it's very freeing
I am so tired of being treated crazy or as an outcast because I don't meet society's expectations

here I can be myself and feel some sort of belonging
it makes living slightly more bearable to me

It is definitely a very necessary venting spot.

Almost everywhere else we are treated like trash. Go on any of the common Social Media platforms and express your desire to leave this existence behind and watch all of those inconsiderate bastards slam you with the generic ass help number.

Funny story btw: If you call them it can actually happen that they don't even pick up. Speaking from experience here in 2020. Accelerated a lot of stuff for me back then =)

While having said all that: I wish it would not be such an... Echo chamber. Imagine a platform where people can freely discuss suicide and trained psychiatrists and actual people that can seriously help you like with financial, homelessness and other issues that are the biggest issues for a lot of people here ^^'

Then again: Suicide Prevention on that level is not profitable. And we all know that if it doesn't benefit the shareholders we are all worth nothing. Suicide is costly for them because they lose wage slaves so they try to repress it as far back as possible
