partial hanging is a lot more reliable than people think.
i read some statistics from thailand (official statistics on an official dot gov site)
some months ago, and i believe it actually said partial succeeds more or at least the same as full suspension.

i forgot how they phrased it...
i think maybe they listed the most used methods, and also added success rate. and it looked very reliable.
and i also keep seeing articles everywhere i look basically about successful partial.

that fucking asshole ariel castro or what his name was hanged himself with a damn prison bed sheet from a bunk bed.
i was thinking of "night night" method as my back up... but if my SN fails, then it's partial hanging.

idgaf anymore. it's extremely scary looking (i saw the videos).
but i will put a bag over pillow sheet over my head to not traumatize the police or whoever finds me.

yeah... i'm decided. this is gonna be my backup.
the guy from linkin park too... and robin williams... and that cnn guy who did those food travel shows...
they all did it that way, and way more "on the whim" than i will.
i'll be prepared down to every little detail.

Hanging is not as difficult or terrible as many people make it seem because of their fear. It is one of the most primitive forms of taking one's own life. Only determination and willpower are needed. You can do more research and you may feel more confident in the method.

You've got tons of testimonials on the forum where Partial hasn't worked. There's no need to look that far. You can even read what materials, positions and places they used and their experiences to learn from them.

Most of the videos you find are Full.

Anyway..

Do you have links to those investigations? Do they mention the materials and position they adopted when attempting Partial Hanging? It would be helpful if you could include them for others interested in Partial.

Earlier I was testing to see if my spot would support my weight, I accidentally knocked myself out, it happened so fast and I wasn't even trying to. I mean I was testing full suspension with the rope around my neck, but I didn't have the rope secured just wrapped around the cross bridging twice and held the other side. I definitely feel a bit sore from hitting the concrete, but Im not scared because if I can accidentally lose consciousness I can definitely die just fine.

I had a similar moment when I was testing my set up for full hanging. I found it shockingly easy how fast I was nearly getting unconscious. I didn't even feel any pain. It was just little pressure on the neck and then my heartbeat got faster I think and my legs started to feel dazed.

Summarizing info from that article, may be useful for those who prefer Partial:

- The hanging mark was typically present above the thyroid cartilage.

- In all ligature materials, the knot mark was commonly over the back of the neck or occiput

- The ligature material most commonly used in hanging was rope followed by fabric material and cable.

- Weight ranges for hanging of men in different body positions are presented: in the standing posture, the ligature is stretched by more than 65% of the body weight; in kneeling position by 64% to 74%; in sitting by 17% to 32%; and in recumbent posture by less than 18% of the body weight. In our study, most victims were hanging in standing position, and body weight ranged from 38 to 87 kg with peak incidence at 60 to 69 kg, followed by 50 to 59 kg.

For clarity, I think you are saying you atill
Think full is more reliable than partial. Correct?

That's right. In any case, everyone is free to do whatever they want.

In Full, you won't have to worry about choosing a "proper" position, since you'll be using your entire body weight completely suspended. That doesn't mean you shouldn't do the procedure correctly. It's necessary for everything to go smoothly and quickly (you know, good materials, anchor point, ligature position)

It may help you to read all the Partial failed attempts using the search bar.

From the beginning I would prefer to go for what is more effective (Full) and will give me the result I want (death).

You can even watch the videos. They're the best source for learning, from those who've done it.
