recently discovered a spot where full suspension hanging could work. Is success rate higher with full suspension? Is full suspension the better option?

Full hanging is better in succes rate, but it hurts like hell while you're still conscious

Effectiveness does not depend on the type of method, but on its correct execution.

Yeah sure, but people seem to have more problems with partial hanging. Is a drop that breaks the neck necessary for full suspension? Or is it ok if just push away a little chair?

Please read some of the hanging threads.
Drop is not practical. Full with a proper setup knocks you out quickly and is almost fail proof.
Please do it right the first time.

What do you mean by proper setup?

Please read the existing threads. There is advice on setting this up to reduce failure.

There's so much to read. I think that's why some of us ask the same questions over and over. It's hard to know which advice is correct. It's also hard to know which posts are genuine and which ones are made to instil fear.

total suspension is more effective, but in my opinion more painful, I have already made a couple of attempts and in both I could not let go of my feet because the rope was hurting me very badly.

Shit that sucks, maybe the rope was too thin? I went and bought a 10mm rope today, cause 6mm hurt too much when i was trying partial suspension last week

I have this, 10 mm and a breaking point of 600 kg; unfortunately it's a nautical rope, so it's very hard and strong, absolutely not comfortable.

I know :(
And the fact that I'm alone. I'm so scared to be left struggling and not being able to free myself. I'm going to end up in the psych ward if I don't ctb. I feel myself slowly going crazy and worse everyday that goes by. Everything is falling apart around me. Please let me find the strength to do this hanging so I can be at peace 😭

I think all ropes will be like that. Does it hold a knot ok and slide fairly easy to tighten ?

I think when your feet are up in the air you have a better chance of dying. I can't do the partial I chicken out but I don't have anywhere high to hang my rope. I swear dying with dignity needs to be legal everywhere and not just terminal illness but suffering chronic pain and mental illness. It's our body. We have to suffer.

Partial for me is just too difficult to pull off. I struggle finding the sweet spot. Even people who do find the sweet spot fail as they end up standing part way through.

Partial. I've practiced so much that the extremities on the left side of my body randomly go numb. My left pinkie toe and thumb, to be exact. In the weeks following the gesture, I'd randomly lose control of my thumb. You just have to locate your carotids which is harder than it seems.

Same. Even at a fraction of my full weight it hurt like hell.

One method I've thought about was getting blackout drunk with a pharma cocktail, and doing a partial hanging from a doorknob.

Partial hanging while you're still conscious is incredibly painful, and your panic sensors in your brain start BLARING.

Full on hanging yourself is the way to go.

I actually started to feel some rushing adrenaline pleasure when partial hanging, that live or die moment would make me feel alive.
