I have been highly considering full suspension hanging and am seeking advice on whether it is a good method.
Thank you for the info, my location choice is a old church in the woods. It has an altar frame which I have already tested using cargo rope, the same that I will be using.I think the Peaceful Pill Handbook has been a bit harsh with full suspension, in the sense that the person hanging will be unconscious within 10-15 seconds leaving them to die relatively peacefully, in that they won't feel anything for the 20 or so minutes it takes to actually die. So, subjectively, the peaceful rating is definitely better than very low.
The real difficulty in full suspension is in breaking through the SI barrier to actually kick the stool (or whatever prop is used) away. Once actually suspended it's a done deal, assuming the rope and support holds, which shouldn't be an issue if proper care is taken in selecting the appropriate support to hang from, and testing it thoroughly by applying your weight to it and stress testing both the support and rope against the inevitable convulsions that will happen during the hanging.
I'm using a somewhat thick static rope, tied to a thick sturdy branch on a massive tree in the middle of the woods. Once I get the stool away I'm confident in that my life will end with relatively little discomfort and stress.

Yes you're right, but I believe that's actually the most avoidable outcome. How i intend to prevent this is to simply pretighten the noose around my neck, sitting unaided positioned at the topmost part of my neck, directly below the chin, remove any slack in the rope before kicking away my stool. Obviously I can't guarantee myself zero discomfort, some is to be expected simply from the fact I will be hanging by my neck, however I'm confident in the fact that once the stool is kicked, unconsciousness will set in swiftly and I will sleep as my body dies.It is my understanding that if the carotid artery is not specifically under pressure, that death would not be peaceful. IE: a scenario where the jugular or windpipe was squelched, but not the carotid. Is this the case? I don't have a very deep understanding of this method.

Yeah that's what I'm using.Would a slipknot work for full suspension?
The knot at the back of the neck?sitting unaided positioned at the topmost part of my neck, directly below the chin
what does that mean? Will one suffer if so?The knot at the back of the neck?
The one issue I have with the noose at the top and the knot at the back is the chance of the hyoid bone breaking, which of course would be very undesirable especially in case of a failed attempt.
what does that mean? Will one suffer if so?
What do you mean by that?Try not to 'drop' when you kick the bucket
I'm a bit cofused now about the breaking the neck comment. I'm probably being thick lol but I was hoping for me that this would happen so that it would be more instant and lessen the suffering.Don't let your body fall when you kick the bucket, it could break your neck
That's really good advice. I for some reason, since I couldn't get the partial suspension hanging to work. I decided, make a couple of measurements and adjustments. And I decided to do partial suspension hanging, where it would leave me with my tip toes barely touching the floor. And I would this this by dropping from desk chair. Yes, yes, with slack. Bad idea. Just left me with horrible neck pain.Try not to 'drop' when you kick the bucket
You pulled up a fairly old thread so many times those posters are no longer on the site or ctb'r. I am sttaching a link to a thread i found that has a video. Warning !!! It's graphic. Im sure she had no idea what she was doing and people have reported more peaceful videos of people passing out quickly .. this video proves that you better know what you're doing first .. or its not peaceful at all..and it proves why the pph rated it the way they did . I put it in the spoiler. If the jugular vein is blocked do you still die ?
I wonder why they rate it as very low..I think the Peaceful Pill Handbook has been a bit harsh with full suspension, in the sense that the person hanging will be unconscious within 10-15 seconds leaving them to die relatively peacefully, in that they won't feel anything for the 20 or so minutes it takes to actually die.
