idk its pretty strong. maybe im just physically weak though. i dont want to wait to order sn because it probably wont go through since its being cracked down so hard onI don't think that type of metal frame will support a person. What I've read usually recommends the horizontal metal bars most closets have. You can try putting all your weight on it (for several minutes) to test–*before* you put your head through.
This looks a tad impulsive to me. I'm sorry you're hurting.
Yes, hanging scares me due to the risk of brain damage. Don't do anything impulsive, you may end up worse off.Like I said, you can test it by holding onto the rope and lifting your legs, seeing if it will really hold all your weight. Just don't put your head to test it.
Lady Black is right to me, as I am most afraid of becoming a vegetable from hanging. I know someone who was recovered from the partial-closet-hanging method, and he's now wheelchair bound and has very gravelly speech and many other difficulties. It's sad, terribly sad.
The suspension point (coat hanger)doesn´t look like it could hold the weight of body fighting against death
what do you mean by lifting my legs? that sounds like some extreme acrobaticsLike I said, you can test it by holding onto the rope and lifting your legs, seeing if it will really hold all your weight. Just don't put your head to test it.

i have read about a good sixty percent of it. A lot of it seems to just be luck tbhHave you checked out resource threads on here about hanging and partial? There's a lot of good information
i cant even do pushups im so out of shapeTry it just like doing pull ups
the right side bends a lot less because of the leg thingy. also the bolts in the wall are very sturdy. I am concerned it'll break though just because of the bending on the left side. im pretty heavyDon´t you have another place to fix the rope?
tbh ive been considering this specific option for awhile. again from the hanging threads ive read it really seems to be about luck. some people pass out with bathrobes and stuff. That setup does not even remotely look reliable. That type of shelving is not designed for heavy loads. Your weight will also be focused into a tiny area where the belt is tied which will most likely caust the shelf to V bend there if it doesn't simply crumble. Secondly, I would not trust the knot you tied in the belt and in turn it has a high chance of coming undone. I suggest taking the time to collect your thoughts, listen to the pleasant people here as they share their thoughts and opinions then gather some knowledge from the many threads here. If after that you feel this is what you want, you can apply the knowledge gain to do it properly so that you do not come out worse than you went in.
i considered that but i think my bed would just slide around. its a pretty cheapo ikea bed.So maybe you can fix the noose an your bed and do your partial hanging there?
yeah no good spots here. i could try the forest but most of them here get a lot of foot traffic. And going outside and use a tree?
good griefPerhaps he has one of those Charlie Brown Christmas trees. For those of you old enough to know what I am talking about...View attachment 30105
unfortunately not.Is there any other point to fix your noose at your home?
I think it's actually in there pretty tight. It's a lot stronger than it looks. I attached some photosThat definitely won't hold weight for anything. It's made of mostly aluminum so it's gonna bend like a mofo and rip right off the screws. Anything that looks like it can be done with a screwdriver is a no no, where anything that looks like it was done with a pneumatic drill is good to go.
Just ask yourself, can the thing I want to use support a punching bag?
The problem is that the bars bend a tiny bit. I think the structure holding it up is very secure though. Also they dont bend that muchI think it's actually in there pretty tight. It's a lot stronger than it looks. I attached some photos
Wouldn't a branch in the forest be kind of risky too? I feel like the branch would breakSo it seems there´s no other chance than the forest if it should be hanging
Oh no doubt, those screws are probably drilled down to near failure. The issue is the aluminum bending around the screws when weight is applied. The resource guide does recommend for testing to put your hand in and put your body weight on it. That'll answer if it'll holdI think it's actually in there pretty tight.
