FSH Plan - Open to Discussion and Change

Ok so,
Long story short, i'm planning on a FSH sometime in late March, here's the plan I have so far and aspects where I'm gonna need some help.
So basically the plan is to use a phone cable cord (possibly belt, if it's long enough) and hang myself from a rafter in my basement. What I mainly need help with is tying a noose, i have no fucking clue how to do that.
Anyway, just reply with any advice you may have. This isn't a set-in-stone plan, I might even pussy out of it last minute, but any advice is appreciated

A slipknot is generally what you should go for. Just look up "how to tie slipknot," you'll find tons of tutorials.

That being said, using a phone cord is a terrible idea. That thing WILL snap. And it's way too thin. The thinner the ligature, the more painful it'll be. I strongly encourage you to reconsider your setup.
Also there's no such thing as "pussying out" of CTB. If you can't go through with it, maybe it's not meant to be. Think it through carefully. I hope you find your peace, friend.

absolutely not. urghhhh don't use a phone cord!! it'll snap because those things suck!!!
if you're doing it in march you'll have enough time to buy a nylon or polyester rope from a hardware store or amazon. rope is cheapo. you should also test the strength of your basement rafter with your arm or a weight before attempting.

belts snap too. they aren't made to hold a person up. i'd recommend just buying a rope so you don't have to worry about failing the attempt

My dog's old leash is already in a slipknot, plus is a somewhat rope-like material. I assume this would be the best option?

FSH takes a rope. They're very cheap, no reason to try something else.

I want to emphasize what Dawnfang11 said: there's no such thing as "pussying out" here. No one is going to think less of you if you get to the precipice and decide it's not what you want. I'm not trying to sway you one way or another, but no matter which road you go down, I hope it's for you.
