Venting Friends ditched me again tonight. Feeling like shit.

Gonna keep it short, but I got ditched again tonight.

My only friends have been telling me for weeks now that they can't hang out because they're too busy, their tech isn't working, etc. etc. which is fine- cool, whatever. I understand.

Come to find out- they're not and everything's fine. They're just hanging out with different people behind my back and ignoring me. Aren't even responding to my requests to game or hangout anymore- just leaving me on read while they go play with other people.

Feeling like shit. They're the only people I care about in this whole world and I seriously doubt would notice if I disappeared one day. I just want people to hang out with, even if it was fake as hell and all we did was sit in silence and game. Apparently, I'm too much of a shitty person to be around to even do that.

Damn.

They are not worth your time. I had friends like that and its took a lot to leave but I did it. You can too. They are the ones missing out. They are the shitty people, not you.

I'm sorry that happened to you - I don't know anything about you, but I know you didn't deserve it! This shit happens to me, too (hence my bitter first sentence).

give you a quick example of this, back in 1983, one warm Saturday night in July, two of my best friends, or so I thought at the time! wanted to go to another town for the evening and hit the bars and nightclubs. Well in reality what they wanted to do is ditch me. We went to a bar a little after 1am and I went to the bathroom. When I came out both of them were gone. I raced across the street to the parking lot and the one who drove, his vehicle was gone. I started walking, it was 35 miles back to my car, and a local cop put his lights on and stopped and asked me why I was walking down the shoulder of the road at 2am.

I told him the whole story and he asked if they were really my friends. I thought so as I had known them for over 10 years. When the cop drove me all the way back to my car, the next day it was all over about who I got "burned" and how funny it was and how damn stupid I was.

GUESS what? The person who drove that night got a Dwi (drunk driving) and lost his license for 6 months and the other person was racing someone and lost control at over 140mph and went air borne and when the car hit the ground, it basically vaporized.

I mention this only because you are such a loving and kind soul, and it is very hard right now but, in the future, it WILL come back and bite the hell out of them. At 67 I have life experience and more times like the previous one where I got burned for no reason except to be laughed at, at oh boy did it come back on the ones that hurt me for no reason what's so ever.

Keep your head up, my good friend, as I care about you deeply and you are a winner period. I know that in my heart.

I just don't believe that other people can be relied and trusted on after all, I'm not even surprised that they are acting in such a way, humans really can be so unnecessarily cruel.
