Long time listener, first time caller -
Locking guests out of viewing stuff (particularly methods) is just going to disadvantage people who are extremely privacy conscious. I finally made an account because I've done so much research into my chosen method, saw the same questions about it being asked over and over and thought I could give back and start answering them. Some people aren't so willing to risk privacy by making an account, but I think those people still deserve access to the resources they need to make an informed (and hopefully, less painful) choice. I trust that after so long running this site, the admins know what they're doing.
I thought about this a few minutes ago. I realize not all guests are GS or leo. I was a guest for years off/on...So I see where you're coming from.
As far as TOR and all of that smart people internet stuff goes -- I have no idea what any of it means. (I'll go look it up after this post. =)
Welcome to the forum also.
I think if you are worried about anything, maybe refrain from saying any method, insinuating you have a plan to ctb, and directly asking questions about methods and admitting they are for yourself.
I purposefully make vague posts meaning I don't insinuate I'm here with a plan or not..One could only guess but guessing is not equal to fact.
I feel there are ways around the privacy issue here.
..Now that I am thinking about it -- Why are we concerned with the site when "allegedly" this whole security scare thing came from N/A?
It had little to do with the site but more to do with the shipping and stuff, right?
Edit: Also, I do not use a VPN..(maybe l am foolish).. but in 2014, I had been on a suicide forum and was saying I was gonna do it and everything..and the police were NEVER contacted. I was soooo detailed too.
The forum is still there, along with my posts.
Ironically, I was put in a ward in 2014 because my friend called the police..not the forum...Also, that particular forum allowed people to have private journals that were members only. It would ve cool to have a members-only personal journal here to document our stories or days leading up to ctb...
