Is the gauge on the right the flowmeter?

yes, you have a pressure reductor and a flowmeter. Set the flowmeter on 15L per minute.

Thanks👍 its an argon regulator I'm assuming it can be used on a nitrogen cylinder too?

yes but with two caveats:
- you have to make sure the connection (thread) is ok and tight
- due to density differences, the flowmeter will show different value (flow mismatch). If on argon regulator you put 10l/min, nitrogen real flow will be around 17l/min.

So instead of putting 15 Lpm, set it on 10-12 Lpm.

CAREFUL! I think you're wrong mate... I'm talking to Copilot about this, and he says something different:

Correction factor from argon to nitrogen

> 0.85

This means that if the flowmeter reads 15 L/min (calibrated for argon), the actual nitrogen flow will be: 15 × 0.85 = 12.75 L/min of nitrogen

✅ How to adjust for 15 L/min of real nitrogen flow?

Divide the desired nitrogen flow by the correction factor:

> 15 ÷ 0.85 ≈ 17.6 L/min

So, you should set the flowmeter (calibrated for argon) to approximately 17.6 L/min to get a true nitrogen flow of 15 L/min.
