Let me get this straight. You were already there in Peru in April and did not find any. Now you are back in Peru in June and you are not finding any. How often do you go to Peru?
I decided to look in Peru for an alternative source, SN is my back up. I've been in Peru going between cities for months now, but honestly might be time to call it quits. Just trying to find any bottles of H.
I am not sure if I believe your story. An American living in Peru for several months, with no Spanish, not able to communicate with the stores (you mentioned they stared at you blankly) going from town to town. You are asking for sources but I am not sure I believe your motivation. I am also not sure I believe your story
Sounds like you're misinterpreting a lot. They stare at me when I ask "tienes halatal" and they firmly say something like "no no no". Or they tell me to come back at a different time (which honestly means they're trying to shoo me away, since I come back and there's still nothing). I've been bouncing between Cusco and Lima trying different streets, and now I'm in Tarapoto as a final gambit.
Just enough to ask for the medicine I am looking for. You can get away with a lot from just Google translate, but usually I can tell by their mannerisms if they are trying to shoo me away.
Lot of them aren't carrying it anymore unfortunately, or at least don't have a good or ready stock available.
Either they bluntly say no, or they tell me to come back for a restock. When I come back, they still don't have the stock, but honestly I think they're just driving me away. Basically rinse and repeat every store/every week.

I am tracking all activities relating to Peru as I am also flying there soon. I am not tracking you specifically. I try to give you the benefit of the doubt, but your story is unusual and unique. I have been talking with 3 different people who bought H recently, one of them already passed away. In fact they went there twice, first time they ended up not going through with it and throwing H into the garbage, few weeks later they returned again, and at that time they purchased it again, and went through with it, without bringing it back. So my suspicions is due to the fact that what you report is something nobody reported before, it is also a bit difficult to believe that someone from the US has been living there for months with no Spanish. But, of course, everything can happen, it is not impossible
I'm also tracking all news from Peru, also in contact with 3 people who succesfully purchase it. Now the question is who is saying the true. I ownestly do not believe that is so hard to get it. Even if they not gonna sell you in A...V.. Offer 1 k dollars in cash and i strongly doubt they will refuse. For me someone tries to save lifes, but do not understand that he is making more harm.
I'm not sure why you guys are hellbent on this narrative that only one of us is "telling the truth". It seems to be that I'm just being unlucky and missing the stores that readily offer it, which is why I went to Tarapoto instead of the bigger cities, and I went to this forum again to ask for help.
Have You tried to bribe in the shop? Have You tried to found a vet and bribe him?
