finally settled on a date!!

i've always wanted to die for years but i kept postponing it because i was too much of a coward. now, i feel like i'm finally ready to settle on a date. i'm not going to allow any excuses for myself, and it's a decently long time away so i have time to prepare for it. i'm surprisingly feeling good about this. i wanna get used to posting on here before i die though. i've been kind of scared to post but a lot of people here actually seem so lovely and i definitely don't want to miss out on the chance of participating in this community. hopefully i can continue to work up the courage to.

well, it was sort of a random decision haha. however, i made sure that it was far enough so that i have a lot of time to plan things out, but not too far away so i don't have to spend too much time being alive. i decided on giving myself a little less than a year so that i'll be able to choose the right method and gradually cut my contacts with everyone else around me.

i've been planning to kill myself for a while now (ever since i was 12), and i'd keep setting up dates but never following through because of my cowardice, and there was a small amount of hope for the future that aided in keeping me alive. everything ended up getting worse though and i don't see it getting better anytime soon. i think this date holds a lot of significance to me, even if it was a random decision, because of all of my past failed attempts. there's way too many of them to count so this time i'm feeling really determined to actually follow through. i hope this answers your question well enough.
