Story Final Destination

In the night, I drove with haste
Ignoring signs and speed limit's grace
But soon enough, I felt the weight
Of metal, glass, and fate's cruel bait

The car spun, a dance of death
I saw my life flash with each breath
And then I saw, through shattered glass
The shadow of Death, a figure of ash

It beckoned me with bony hand
A journey to a darkened land
But fear and pain kept me here
I fought, I screamed, I shed a tear

Now each night, as I close my eyes
I see Death's shadow, hear its cries
I know I cheated fate that day
But I fear Death will have its way.
