If I was to ctb could I write a note saying I want all my possessions and money to go to said person, would that work as a will?

Also so far I'm thinking SN would be my most likely option, I'm not ready to ctb yet, I want to have a plan though as a lot is riding on next year, if I can make it to then, if things don't work out I'd want to ctb and have a method ready. So I'm thinking would it be worth ordering SN now to have it ready, it last 4 years + if unopened right?
Once you open it do you have to use within a month?
If I used with no antiemetics is it less likely to be successful?
One last question, others who have ordered/bought stuff ready but not used it yet does it give some comfort or relief knowing you have it there? Has that helped.
I'm struggling so bad right now and trying to hang on, I'm battling on for now but SI is in my head everyday. My depression has really consumed me & my life is a train wreck.

Depends on your jurisdiction. It could be easily fought in a court. I knew of a person who was clearly and legally written out of a will, fought it in court, and won. And that was a will that clearly excluded her from getting anything.

Yes, SN will last a long time if left unopened. Anecdotal evidence suggests it can be less successful without an AE. There have been people (anecdotally) who have succeeded without an AE. Because of the "nature of the beast" of this type of forum (anonymous), it is rare to know if someone actually CTB. Just the way it is.

I have like 99% of what I need to CTB (CO method), and yes it gives me some comfort knowing it is there for me when I might need it.

I'm sorry you are having such a bad time of things right now. Depression is insidious and never lets up. Lots of us are right there with you. Hope you can find some relief and some peace. We all deserve it. Good luck.

most likely not, if your family and or friends are agreeable and don't make a big fuss and wish to adhere to your note then they may but legally they don't have to. Personally, if you want things to go to certain people then your best bet is to make a legal will. I guess it also depends where you live too, perhaps do some research into what counts as a will in your area, if you are capable of doing so.

I live in UK, maybe if it came to that I'd be better writing the person a cheque or would that not work also? & I'd write a note to let them have my things, this person is closest to me & my family know that. I could do a proper will but im sure it costs money & also just don't have energy to do all that.

You're trusting your family, but as long as they are good people, they will almost certainly follow your wishes.

I'm sorry you are suffering so much and life has brought you to this point. Regarding your questions:

Generally, I think your wealth and belongings go to the next of kin when no will is left. Still, if you can trust your family to honour your wishes, I imagine they will if you leave them a note.

Yes, it does make me feel better to know I have my method purchased and ready. It could well be years (or not at all) that I come to use it. (Waiting on my Dad.) Still, I have this feeling that SN in particular is only going to become harder and harder to get, so I'm glad I have it now.

I personally wouldn't open it until I was ready to use it- although I would definitely do the blood and aquarium tests just before. I would want to use an antiemetic- although my meto is already one year out of date. Those are just my preferences though.

My family have some good people and some very toxic ones who unfortunately add to my depression big time. Something that worries me about ordering SN is they ask for identification, just don't want any trouble/hassle. My anxiety is bad aswell as depression.

Anyone who has ordered SN has it been no issue with the ID.
Also what a the most vital antiemetics would you say?

I bought SN a while ago and i don't plan to ctb anytime soon. I couldn't leave my mom and my cat. Also, most of the time i do feel like i still have stuff to live for.
But it makes me feel SO much better to know it's there as backup, just in case. And i was also paranoid that one day it would become unavailable.
Who knows if i'll ever use it or not. But it eases my anxiety knowing it's there.
