This is just a potential option, but full suspension hanging is very appealing to me. The only hard part is finding something to support my weight.
There is a cable in my room that is around 4 inches away from the wall, connected by metal poles near the ceiling. It is meant for hanging photographs and such, but I was wondering if it would be able to support my weight without damaging the wall it is connected to.
I am more inclined to full suspension hanging because partial hanging is less likely to succeed, and I have already attempted and failed before.
I worry the proximity to the wall would also get in the way of the hanging, but the cable is conveniently as my mattress is right below it, and I could put a chair on top of the mattress. It is definitely high enough to give me a good gravitational push into death.
The cable is not extremely thick, but I have seen thinner ones being used in museums and such. I will test it by pulling on the rope once I buy it, but I just want some additional advice beforehand. I will resort to partial hanging if necessary, I just do not want to fail again.
