Fear is absolutely useless. It chains us down, it paralyzes our souls. Those who defend it are literally insane. "It protects us", they say, too blind to realize that without fear, there is nothing in the world that warrants protection against. It is a contrived nuisance that imagines danger and horrors where there are none, and then tortures and warps our minds to fulfill some ridiculous goal.

I believe that this is true as fear just leads to more unnecessary torment but of course it's just a result of humans having the ability to be conscious and aware in such a hellish world.

Fear is an emotion that people have tried to defeat throughout history, the word "coward" seems to have more impact than "murderer" or "thief". Sadly we are not free from our emotions, they will torment us until the day we die. I don't agree there are no horrors though, this world is full of horror and the fact that we have to be in it is the worst.Similar threads
