There's a wonderful story on YouTube of a father supporting his daughter's decision to CTB. It's called "A father stands by his daughter's choice to die / Letting You Go". Perhaps you'll find it comforting too.

I have mixed feelings watching the video.
I know it is not a selfish decision as me myself find in that position where life just doesn't feel ok anymore, but it's so hard to put myself in the father's position or apply it to the pain I'll cause to mine

Neither would mine. Like he says in the video, she would do it anyway so this way she's sparing them the shock of it and sparing herself the burden of doing it alone.
