Unless the masks were pressed tightly against the face isn't it safe to assume you won't expel all oxygen from the system? This is my major concern with masks.

My major concern with exit bags is slouching to one side after falling unconscious, the hose coming free from the bag, and becoming a vegetable from the damage already done. I wonder if it is feasible to superglue the end of the hose to the inside of the bag to prevent this.

If someone had a scuba mask and instead of oxygen tanks had inert gasses with all of the tubing and gauges and whatever I can't see what the problem is. Breathe out, put on the mask, inhale, lights out?

It's might be due to my unfamiliarity with the masks, but, to my way of thinking, unless the mask is pressed tightly against the face it is inevitable you're going to bring some oxygen into the loop.

The scuba masks are literally made to not bring in water and drown the diver, tho?

This is the way I want to ctb and I plan on laying down in a bed with the scuba mask on. I've seen 2 pics of ppl who did the same. One not even on his bed but in his car slouching in the backseat.

people use sticky tape to attach hose to the inside of the bag.

A FULL FACE scuba mask should operate on the same principles as an SCBA mask that firefighters wear. The mask mounted regulators on both masks are designed to maintain a positive pressure such that if there are any leaks, then the gas will flow out of the mask rather than allowing smoke or water to enter. These masks have straps that hold the mask tightly to your face to prevent from wasting gas. Again, this rule holds as long as the mask mounted regulator is appropriate for the mask.
The first stage regulator will normally be mounted on the tank and it brings pressure down from about 3000 - 4500 psi to approximately 100 psi. The mask mounted regulator is considered a second stage regulator as it brings the pressure down from approximately 100 psi to a couple of psi to maintain the positive pressure in the mask.

I spent a lot of time considering this but since I couldn't figure it out, how to put it all together so it would work, I turned to something else.

The Exit Bag / Inert Gas is already one of the most expensive exits.
Scuba gear is also expensive, unless you already own the equipment.
The one case I am aware of (who was successful BTW), the guy was a scuba diver,
so not only did he already have the equipment, he was also experienced in using it.
