You don't need an excuse at all u go to the cashier and pay, thats what I did this morning. Here u can cut the length of your rope yourself, just as much as you want, I bought like 1,4m it costed me like 3,50€
Although I will perhaps buy a bdsm rope because it doesn't hurt as much on your neck as those normal ropes. I am not sure yet if I prefer SN or hanging. Btw can anyone tell me how long I can keep SN which has already been mixed with water without it going bad? And should I keep it in the fridge?

Yeah, I'd also go with 'none of their business'. Not as a response, but as a mindset to have. Believe that there is nothing unusual about purchasing something and you will act like there is nothing unusual. Act like that and you convey confidence and minimize any doubt or questioning.
