Story Everyone can find love

I want to keep this short, everyone can find love, no exceptions.

I am not an attractive person in the slightest, and regularly spend a lot of time rotting in bed. My personality isn't what I would consider "great" either, it's not horrible but definitely not that good.

Recently a guy did end up telling me that he likes me, something I never expected to happen.

There are a lot of people, it is possible, and yes you, reading this, you can find love. If I can then anyone can.

Congrats, but I wouldn't call love just having 2 people like or be attracted to each other. That's a start, but real love is not found it's developed

I'm a fairly average looking guy with a difficult personality (I have bipolar) but I do okay in love (I was married for 10 years). I'm a bit loose at the moment because I don't really have anywhere to meet new people of a similar mental age.

I think I know someone who might be suitable for me, just need to find out if they are interested (I think they might be). It's a wonderful woman who I happen to find very attractive, mostly for her personality. Keep your fingers crossed for me

"Can" and "will" are often lifetimes apart. The person who would truly connect with you might be on the other side of the world and you'll never meet. So, it "can" happen... but for many of us it still never will.

I know the OP didn't mean it like this... OP was trying to be hopeful and helpful to us... I get it... but the "It happened to me so it can happen to you" is one of those platitudes adjacent to "It gets better" and others that aren't really that helpful. Things that work for you don't work for me, and vice-versa. People are complicated.

I think most people misinterpret the nature of love. It isn't finding it that's hard, but keeping it and nourishing it.
Sure, physical attraction is important, but being ugly doesnt mean much. It is the bitterness that arises from unfair treatment by society because of your appearance that drives affection away, and I believe bitterness is the antithesis to love, because it keeps you from feeling the devotion needed in a romantic partnership.

I hope you can get something going, and to everyone else, learn to love the world first. Even if you're jaded towards yourself and the ones that did you wrong, learn to appreciate what's good about the world objectively, not in relation to you or anything you're dealing with. I've found that that helped me love others more and be loved back just as strongly.
