Next appointment is the 22nd of July 2024 then it'll have been nearly 3 years since I first set foot in the euthanasia clinic.
Yeah it usually takes at least 2 years because the time in-between appointments is 6 months to a year.So you've been on a waiting list for 3 years?
What happens in euthanasia appointments though? Do they discuss the reasons why you want to do it or something?Yeah it usually takes at least 2 years because the time in-between appointments is 6 months to a year.
Last time they asked why I wanted to CTB && other ways out. The head psychiatrist there also said she already found a doctor that'd be willing to carry it out. One step closer to freedom. What happens in euthanasia appointments though? Do they discuss the reasons why you want to do it or something?
May I ask the reason why you are going to do euthanasia?Last time they asked why I wanted to CTB && other ways out. The head psychiatrist there also said she already found a doctor that'd be willing to carry it out. One step closer to freedom.
I want to live a good life my chronic illness, trauma, and social sabotage the past 3 years is just too overwhelming so no I do not want to die but unlike a lot of "depressed" folks here I am in excruciating pain and it's not a choice anymore.I recall a post by you saying you wanted to keep going. Are you sure you want to follow through with this?
Everything posted on the above comment.May I ask the reason why you are going to do euthanasia?
You surely mean excruciating physical pain, right? Because us "depressed" individuals can also feel excruciating pain, albeit emotional. And they sometimes even manifest in physical symptoms just how physical pain can have a debilitating effect on one's psyche.I want to live a good life my chronic illness, trauma, and social sabotage the past 3 years is just too overwhelming so no I do not want to die but unlike a lot of "depressed" folks here I am in excruciating pain and it's not a choice anymore.

Hey there, would you be so kind to write me a PM with info about which clinic you contact, since this is my preferred path too. Thanks in advance and all the best!Next appointment is the 22nd of July 2024 then it'll have been nearly 3 years since I first set foot in the euthanasia clinic.
Some feel the need to prove that their suffering is "superior" because they sub-consciously feel guilty about their decision to ctb and need "justifications" to feel at ease with their decision.Thank you for this!
I never understand the whole 'my suffering is a lot cooler than yours' thing tbh.
Very well put! I never looked at it through that perspective but it makes a lot of sense! Some feel the need to prove that their suffering is "superior" because they sub-consciously feel guilty about their decision to ctb and need "justifications" to feel at ease with their decision.
What they don't realise is they're undermining other people's suffering and most importantly, they don't need to justify their decision. Basically a case of lack of self-awareness and poor social skills.
That is good to hear and for you. Yes, I've read that that's the key problem and that the availability is constantly changing. The head psychiatrist there also said she already found a doctor that'd be willing to carry it out.
No, when my suffering wasn't as bad but I still wanted to CTB I realized I was still SUPER lucky. Most people that can't acknowledge others suffer more than them are usually weaklings that had everything handed to them on a silver platter and they lack empathy and presence of mind imo. The whole lack of self-awareness and poor social skills is belittling and psychopathic. Some feel the need to prove that their suffering is "superior" because they sub-consciously feel guilty about their decision to ctb and need "justifications" to feel at ease with their decision.

Dude, you can't acknowledge that there are others that suffer more than you. You have a history of belitting the suffering of others. You are the one who lacks any empathy for others. No, when my suffering wasn't as bad but I still wanted to CTB I realized I was still SUPER lucky.
