I'm open minded. I tried it. I wanted it to work. It was crock. Maybe it was a shit practitioner. Maybe it's a placebo effect, which is cool. Maybe you have had better luck.
I think hard problems have hard solutions, but whatever works is all good.

Experimentation is generally a good way to learn what can be used as management and coping skills. However, there is a danger that one comes to rely on something that only appears to work. For example in some Christian circles there are those who rely on what faith healers tell them and neglect medical options that might have more realistic benefit. This can continue until the real problem has worsened to the degree that medical intervention would no longer be helpful.

Feeling better is often the best indicator that something is working. However, it can sometimes mask reality such that things seem better while thay are actually getting worse. Consider the person who finds that alcohol seems to make things better.

I do energy healing on myself regularly and can do it on others as well. It doesn't touch upon the root causes of my pain and distress, but I do feel noticeably lighter and calmer after doing it. It's just one of many little tools in my toolbox, so to say

Interesting -- I came across Reiki healing the other day, and I guess there's a good practitioner here (so say the online reviews for her, anyway), so I might try it once and see if it does anything for me. So you've tried Reiki already? What was it like, and how did it help you?

I watch ASMR reiki videos and find it relaxing.

I do tai chi. I needed some classes to get the basics. It's very difficult in the beginning. There are many variations of tai chi, and I went for tai chi chuan because I like boxing (MMA). I was sceptical, but wow, it works. I think it's all about breathing and awareness. Also tai chi chuan is so difficult that everthing else becomes so easy.
