Growing up, what did you want to be?

I wanted to be a teacher, since I was very inspired by them. The reality of it is depressing though, got to work with them for a week and learnt so much. It was amazing watching the students develop their skills and helping the ones who needed it. Now I want to ctb, I doubt i'll ever reclaim my old self who had the energy and enthusiasm to do it

I always wanted to rehabilitate sick or injured animals and have my own animal rescue. I've saved/raised many animals in the past and other than art...that's my passion.

It's not legal where i live although mostly it's ignored by police but anyway i'd like to have my own Marijuana Business growing or selling.I'm growing some at the moment indoors for personal use a week ago i got to try some of it,it was amazing and it's not even fully ready yet.
Or if that doesn't work out i'd like to be a mod at Sanctioned Suicide.

I never wanted to work. I remember begging my parents not to make me get a part time job when I was a teenager. I always had massive anxiety about working. Later on when I was in college it began to hit me that I would just never be able to do it. It's like I was studying for something I knew I'd never be able to follow through on. I dropped out. It's never gotten any better.

I think realizing all this at a very early age is one of my main reasons for ultimately wanting to ctb. All we do as humans is work. We talk about what we do, how we plan to advance, how we want to retire etc. If none of that applies to you, you've basically disqualified yourself from life.

Firefighter or Actor.

My mom told me when I was young that firefighters are big and strong, and I'll never will be. Actors are attractive and charismatic, I'm ugly and shy.

I used to be a teacher but I quit working in October. I'm living on benefits now with my health and life in ruins. I have no more energy or interest in teaching. I used to travel abroad and taught in some amazing countries. Now my dreams and experiences all lie behind me. The void lies ahead.

I've always wanted to be a forger! Unfortunately you don't see many vacancies in that area. I love this guy and how he fooled the art world.

Would loved to have been an artist also, or an actor.

All kinds of stuff and it would change nearly twice a year; marine biologist, firefighter, construction worker (those machines are cool af), doctor, astronomer etc.

I used to be really passionate about music and ultimately I dreamed about becoming a famous composer/musician, but I lost that passion for the most part.

My dream job was to be a professional pianist musician, but later I learned that the field was dry as hell, and unless you are famous or really really top tier, you're just not likely to get gainful employment. Even teaching was shaky and given my condition of Aspergers and social anxiety, I'd say no, even then it wouldn't have worked out.

Now if I am to make a living, I'd have to turn to menial jobs just to get by.

I share the same logic too, especially that we simply exist just to learn (schooling), work (decades or more of grind), and then die (retirement or sooner). I'd want out of this shitty life too, and in fact, I've never really worked except for a short time and hated it (even part time).

I haven't ever wanted to do just one thing.
There are many things that excite me and I wish I could just explore them all.
I'd learn to code and make tons of cool apps and games, I'd write and publish books, I'd have my own art studio full of paintings and photography and I'd own and operate my own business a few of them being passive income revenues.

As a child or teenager I honestly never thought about it. It's like I couldn't think ahead or think I have to live in future too. As a grownup I've dreamed about a lot of things, being a cook, dance teacher, teacher, translator, working with animals in a farm. I've had random jobs because I didn't think ahead. I don't think it's late for anything, but depression is a killer.

Fuck Up.
That's exactly how i felt too.If your anxious somewhere at any time you can just leave. But in work you have to stay there for the 8 hours and that adds even more stress and anxiety.I just started back to work a few weeks ago after not working for almost 2 years,i'm just working 3 days a week now,it was difficult the first week but i'm getting used of it now.Think i'll just leave it at 3 days a week, don't think i could handle a 5 day week.Hope everything works out for you.

Interesting never heard of this guy before https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Myatt
Have you seen this movie
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0264464/
Hi DKs, yes the John myatt story is one of my favourites, there was talk of a movie about him but nothing has happened to date. The fact that he also used common household paints at times is hilarious! There was some videos of his TV show on YouTube I don't know if they are still up.

Catch me if you can! I've watched it several times and it's one of my favourites, I read the book a couple of times also.
