Venting Dreading christmas dinner with family

Incredibly toxic and homophobic people.
Worst thing I'm an adult but still partially depend on them and I cant do anything about it.

I can relate. Mine ghosted me a year ago except for some aunts who need care. Filling the void was the fact I was able to go to a church event for Christmas, but it's not like going to a Christmas dinner, and they had to prevent me from doing what they consider as amounting to overstaying.

That isn't to say food on its own brings me the pleasure it seems to bring other people. Sorry to the people who made this.

Hey, I hope it went okay with your family. I can relate so much... Cut contact with my family this year and its the best thing I've done so far.

I really hope you can gradually minimize your dependencies and then don't need to dread this time of year anymore.
