Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I'll keep a journal to write down my frustrations, I expect to feel like shit since I'm glued to my phone like 16h of the day. It also makes me binge eat. Wish me luck.
To do instead of phone:
-read- 'Keep sharp' 'Dopamine detox' 'outsmart your exams'
-study- using Discord on my desktop for that, hope it'll make it more bearable haha
-practice math
-sleep, meditate, nap
-take walks
-plan and journal
-cook
-play piano
-draw/paint/make collages
-socialise
-gym
-pilates
-run
-take baths
-cold showers
-swim
I won't use a smartphone at all, I'll use my computer two times a day: morning for a wake up live stream with an on-line coach, evening to check emails and messages. I bought a flipphone for emergencies. I expect not to need Google maps but if I will I'll have to print out the directions and use it as a map. I won't listen to music cuz I don't have an mp3. I'll raw dog my workouts without tracking them on my phone, I'll do yoga without guide videos, I'll do pilates without them as well, in the gym I'm listening to people's convos and the music in the background. On my bike I'm listening to the birds. I also hope to be free of binge eating. My best is 18 days without it, I'll try to go for 30 since the phone is a major factor in my binge eating. I'll spend my free time journaling and reading probably
Raw dog your workouts haha. I'm with you. I won't lie and say it's easy but it's a modern problem. It's far from impossible. I'll do the 30 days with 1 hour of phone time daily starting in 1 hour. If you need support or advice let me know.
This is definitely a big step in the right direction, I want to do it myself. Not the flip phone, which I really respect, but restricting phone usage to say 2h a day instead of 8h a day (miminum).
Though I have to say that before phones I was glued to computers. There's likely something underneath that makes some of us more vulnerable to these types of absent-minded addictions.
But yes, there's definitely something more disturbingly addicting about smartphones than anything else. They're preparing humans to merge with technology. As Elon 'the Frontman' said "we're already cyborgs, always with a device in our hands".
It's definitely a good decision, if I didn't have Uni business and stuck in psych ward I'd do it myself. I wanted to learn to play an instrument, create art, explore outside...
I think a good part of people my generation are here because of what phones and social media did to us while we were younger. Call me a boomer but social media and information overload fucked up our social skills which is a big reason why I'm here as well as many others.

I definitely need to do one of these. I have hesitated to do delete my social media accounts because I do not go outside often but social media can be extremely damaging when you do not post so it is probably for the best.
