Hello SS community,

I hope everyone is hanging in there as much as possible especially with the holidays here… 😔🫣

Wondering if anyone else is in the same predicament of not having the supplemental medications for SN.

Of course I have read that they aren't required but they do help! I do have a lot of hydoxyzine which helps with anxiety and panic attacks and I read it can help with nausea and vomiting as well.

Is anyone in the same predicament or can share a thread of alternative AEs that have been usual.

Thank you 🐒

Hydroxyzine is sometimes used as a pre op antiemetic, as it dries up stomach fluid contents.
It doesn't work the same as the recommended medication, but may actually help the SN work faster, but I'm no doctor. I'm basing that on the idea that if it dries up stomach contents:
1) It may, in the process help absorb the SN
2) The SN (if any) left in stomach will be more condensed & therefore more potent.
Hydroxyzine is basically an antihistamine, which is why it's sometimes used in anxiety (makes you drowsy & more mellow).
I hope this helps. I'm sorry your life has brought you to the point of having to make such decisions. I hope that love & peace find you🤗🌹💔

I forgot to mention that SN irritates the stomach. The stomach cells then start becoming inflamed & swollen. The hydroxyzine will help with stomach inflammation, but how well I don't know.
Peace...🤗🌹💔

I never noticed it helping nausea. It's like rx benadryl. It makes me so tired, I wouldn't want to use it too far ahead
