Hi all, does quietipane substitute for meto as an anti-emetic (as it blocks dopamine I think?).

I have lost my meto but have the quietipane.

Thanks

AFAIK yes it can substitute meto.

It may not work as well as meto, but it will help.

Both work on the same receptors and that's why it is suggested not to take both at the same time (or to wane off quetiapine for at least a week before taking meto).

Both meds are usually not prescribed together and pharmacies often refuse filling both scripts due to the potential interaction. So if your pharmacy has a record of you being prescribed Seroquel/quetiapine and you are refilling it regularly, they will most likely refuse to also fill a meto script.

From what I have read, not unless it is already taken on a regular regimen. It doesn't work as a stat type does, like just taking day before or day of
