Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

For me it's the opposite, I really hope that climate changes delivers the mercy kill that this planet deserves. With everything being polluted, droughts being everywhere and lack of resources to sustain life, hopefully less unfortunate souls will come to inhabit this hellish world and there will be less suffering in the long run. However I really doubt it will be sufficient because the climate change problem will eventually solve itself and life will raise again.

This planet we inhabit is extremely old and has gone through cyclical cataclysmic events and mass extinctions. In the grand scheme of things, we have really only been around for a blink of on eye and can be erased even faster. Whatever anyone chooses to believe that is happening to the planet or the climate or whatever is kind of irrelevant. The universe will probably decide it has had enough of our shit and we will be deleted. It is all pretty much beyond our control even if we all start driving EV's tomorrow.

The predictions about the clima is based on a system of non linear differential equations. This means it is a chaotic sytem, not suitable for predictions, it can become worse or better. A more simple system is used for the weather forecast and are they able to predict the weather?

A very simple model is described by the predator-prey-equations, the humans are the predators and the rest of the planet is our prey. The population of both oscillates, therefore a reduction of the human population by 7 billions is not unlikely.

I personal enjoyed swimming in the warming Atlantic Ocean at Christmas.

I read so much shit about climate change that really depresses me. Nobody wants to do anything about it. Politicians fucking suck. My own grandparents (my legal guardians) don't believe in it so I really have no one to turn to about my anxieties. I don't want to live in a world where, if I keep living till I'm old, the weather is so bad that it kills people (not that it's not doing that already.) Anyways, I don't really want to have a job, being a cog in a machine that will chew me and spit me out when I'm 65 or whatever. Climate change only makes my future seems worse. And I have to deal with my family not being in contact anymore because they don't want me as a trans man, as well. I don't think anything will get any better, honestly. Life isn't a gift for me, it's just something you have to go through. This may be more of a vent than a discussion, so I'm sorry about that.

But, back on topic. Does climate change make you want to CTB more than you would without it? Sorry this was so rambley.
I honestly barely ever think of climate change anymore because I've accepted that nobody with real power and influence really cares about it so we're all doomed anyway. Just lost my hopes regarding climate change being reversed or being avoided. People are too greedy and are too influenced by money to do anything of significant impact about it.
