  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

My body my choice. My money my choice. Why care about whether someone wants to be a stripper? Because it's their life. Don't we have the autonomy to do whatever we want with our own lives?

We hear too much about "rights" and not enough about "responsibilities", which I think are two sides of the same coin. My reason for saying that is to add some depth in as few words as possible to my answer: Yes.

I think rights are inherent (I am my own governing body) & responsibilities are optional - just the first thing that popped in my head, no depth added 🤣

I'd be surprised if it wasn't almost universally believed here that people have that right.

Being a stripper and committing suicide are two entirely different things - but yes, as we have free will the choice to ctb should be ours

Yes the most important rights are to be able to move away from extreme sufferring and right to autonomy to own your body, and the right to die .

But they purposefully stole those rights

If u cant leave a place when u want to then u are a prisoner slave. We have no freedom

They made someone helping u with the escape suicide a crime

what if i'm in or going to be in extreme torture? So i have live for what reason?

Yes, the right to die is a human right and it's just so cruel and dreadful how there is no acceptance towards this with the suffering and torture of existing seem as to force and prolong instead, I always find it the most terrible tragedy how this existence was even imposed causing all this harm and suffering as a result even know there were never any disadvantages to never suffering at all. I just always wish I never suffered more than anything, for me only non-existence is all that's positive and it's just extreme horrific cruelty to me how humans make wanting to die into a crime, I'd just always prefer to cease existing painlessly than be burdened with this existence I just always saw as a mistake in the first place with no limit as to how much I can suffer just to be tortured in agony by old age, to me existence really is an abomination, I'll just always see existence as the problem.

Yes, I recently read that France has allowed euthanasia for people with irrecoverable mental illness. I was happy, the "first world" is still ahead and advanced when it comes to the rights of the suicidal. Anyway, I'm not a liberal or anything, far from it, "my body, my rules" is a bunch of nonsense parroted by young feminists with no critical sense. But I do think that suicidal people should have the right to take their own lives, I don't know why exactly why, I have no philosophical or intellectual background on it, I've never studied about it, but it seems fair to me.

Yes, we didn't consent to begin to exist in this world, so one should at least be able to make the final decision to whether to continue living or not, as long as it is not a rash one.

Then why do people take away this right when you're "not in your right mind"?
okay im very late but thanks to Mr. Bear and others for covering for me haha.

Cause they want you alive to be able to feed the system. The current cultural medium relies on living people to survive. Capitalism only works if it always grows.

So in short. You're alive so people can profit off you. Dead people don't consume.
yea that was pretty much exactly what i was going for. one more thing that id like to add is that humans, despite being one of the most greedy beings on this planet, always have some kind of mechanism that doesnt allow them to just let a person kill themselves. i believe its a moral thing thats just hardwired into our brains. im not ashamed to admit that i used to believe suicide is never the answer. a majority of people believe that and will try to stop others from committing out of "kindness". what they dont realise is they are infact in the wrong here. i dont blame them, but at the same time i do. realistically, i do not think we're gonna get to a point where suicide is socially acceptable anytime soon.

Yes. It is my choice to make. I shouldn't have to suffer.
