Only non-existence can solve and bring me peace from what I see as the true problem which is existence itself, it's all that's positive for me, as long as I exist I'll only hope for non-existence.
I see human existence as the most dreadful, torturous abomination that just causes harm and suffering and I'll just always prefer to not exist than be burdened with this futile existence where there is no limit as to how much one can be tortured just to die in agony from old age, I find it so terrifying how a human can suffer for so long, all I want is to be gone, existence just feels like a mistake to me, I wish I could erase this cruel existence so it's like I never suffered at all.
No disrespect, just a different perspective is all.
I think, if you are hoping for non-existence, you might be disappointed. I, and some others, believe death is like waking up from a dream. The difference is once you de-focus from a physical existence, the creative power of your consciousness is instantaneous.
Meaning, when you die, your beliefs become reality. This was the original intent of religion - to provide a familiar roadmap once you leave this existence. This aligns with NDE testimonials where Christians see Jesus, Catholics may see the Pearly Gates, others who believe they are going to hell indeed may find themselves there. Yet others who believe that death brings non-existence may find themselves in an empty void. To call them illusions is a disservice, as they are no more illusions than what you call physical existence. These situations are temporary, however, until you realize the truth, and that is that consciousness creates everything.
You may say that NDEs are just hallucinations, however it has been legitimately studied for more than 50 years. The fact remains that people report conversations, doctor procedures, etc., all that are happening when the person is clinically dead. They describe in perfect detail things that there would be no possible way for them to know.
A very common description when people describe these is how trivial life feels at that point. People often float above their body and stare at it as if it were a pair of pants that they have discarded and no longer need. They are often dumbfounded that they thought the "dream" (physical existence) was real.
The words I am typing right now are simply symbols for information that I am trying to convey. In the same way, your environment and the physical objects in it are simply symbols for your thoughts and emotions - they don't appear instantaneously, but you and everyone around you is indeed creating your existence. If we were aware of this, it would cheapen the experience.
There is a school of thought that believes that you indeed wrote the script for your current life. You are the writer, producer, and lead actor in your own play. While it feels cruel and horrible, you put yourself in this position because it provides an accelerated learning opportunity. Even the people who give you shit in this life, or that you hate, it is said that these are actually beings you know, and they simply volunteered to be the bad guy - they are playing a role, again, this is an effort to teach you something.
And believe me, I'm not preaching from a soapbox. Within 1 year's time my wife of 24 years hung herself, I lost the ability to walk and use my fingers, I lost my business, my income, and my home. I have no money and I am crippled and completely alone. And I want to CTB because I look at it as more of a change of wardrobe than an end - more of a new beginning. I have read that not all beings decide to take on a physical existence.
Physical existence is a classroom, not a courtroom. There is no judgement other than how you judge yourself from the perspective that death brings.
Again, just my beliefs. I hope you can somehow find some peace.
