Discussion Do you plan a goodbye string?

I am not sure.

There is a side of me that would just like to disappear and another side that wants to go out in blazing glory.

I feel conflicted about this too, but I feel like it would be harsher on my family and friends to never know what happened to me, and I don't want them to spend the rest of their lives wondering if I just kms, disappeared, or just moved to another country to ghost them all. So for a while I've thought about recording a video on my last day and post it in my Instagram story, that I'd also put in my highlights so it doesn't disappear. But I don't want for my body to be recovered though, so I'll just reassure them saying I went peacefully but would leave out where I am etc

I'm not quite sure what is meant by a goodbye string, but I'm assuming it's whether you want others to be aware of your death or not. For me personally, I do like the sound of completely disappearing but I would write notes to those left behind to say that death is really what I wanted.

A farewell thread? I feel like thanking the people in here who helped you find the ideal method for you and just made you feel like you belonged somewhere. That's worth leaving a couple of words to them. Personally, making one a few days before catching the bus would make me feel complete. I'm concluding my life.
As for my family, nothing. My room has everything they need to know. I've got a shit ton of books filled with answers to why I decided to finalize my life. Either archive my room or make it completely disappear.​
