Do you make local news when you catch the bus outside?

I'm starting to think I may ctb outside but I don't want attention at all. Horrified at the thought m

Although it's freezing cold outside and there's ton of snow, I just remembered there's a small neighborhood park I can ctb in about 3-5 min walk away.

I'm a recluse so nobody in the neighborhood knows me, I'd do it in the middle of the night, maybe even tonight.

Pros:
-I don't feel rushed (typically only have 1h window each day where Im alone at home, I'm never ready when the window comes)
-Dad doesn't have to find me
-It doesn't devalue the house that my dad plans to sell in a few months

Cons:
-Its freezing outside, have to walk in alot of snow
-Definitely gonna have people walk their dog in the early hours of the morning stumble on me. So I guess it might be rushed too
-I'm a low-key person,I hate attention, I'm horrified at the thought of my death being broadcasted in local news or there being news article with my name on there


Does that happen? Thankfully I searched my area + suicide and most articles stay vague unless it's a murder-suicide,that's when the full names are given

dunno how common public suicides are in your area so its gonna be hard to guess. maybe put a note on your jacket that says you don't consent to being broadcasted post-mortem? no clue if that would do anything lol but dead bodies have some rights.

luckily where i live they enforce strong "privacy" and other types of laws so it would be very vaguely reported and likely not as suicide. from what ive researched in the past 5minutes i dont think you have something to worry about there either

I live in my city's suicide hub and you never hear of these things. We get a handful of suicides each year and the only way you'll hear about it is if you know family/close ones of the deceased or from those who saw it happen. Ambulances come and go very quietly for the body

Depends where you live or where/how you do it I guess but adult suicides aren't talked much about anyway

In NZ suicides are not publicized at all because they are scared it will lead to an increase in suicides.
They normally say a body was found and referred to the coroner.

unless it's a big event it will never be reported on because they are afraid it will lead to more suicides

FSH. But I went out and it's so cold. I'll see if I can sleep a few hours, wake up at 3-4am and see if I can walk to the park and check if a FSH setup is feasible there

Typically in every country, they don't mention suicides in the news so the general public doesn't get discouraged and can just pass it off as "oh yea he was just sick".
Besides, everyone is so focused on just surviving and not becoming homeless atm so they won't notice some poor, desperate soul ctb.

It depends, my towns police department posted a press release on their instagram when a 10 year old boy killed himself by shooting himself in the head. The local news picked up on it afterwards.
