Discussion Do you have plan B for CTB?

So I have N but it's been a couple of years now and I haven't touched it. I know it's considered to be the holy grail of suicide but I was thinking if I should make any plan B for CTB, just in case.

Do you guys have anything other prepared than your main CTB method and what would you consider to be appropriate as second option, if you already had N available?

Imo the next best method is CO with charcoal, or one of the OD methods we can find in the PPH. Hanging is almost always an option - needs just a rope. It's a personal preference which method one wants to choose upon availability.

If I had N I probably wouldn't think of a "Plan B method".

I doubt you'd need a plan B with N. But the next in line would probably be SN

Yeah if you have N, you have plan A through Z, and I would do almost anything to get some.

But if I had N and somehow misplaced it or some such thing, I guess maybe SN or partial.

If my Plan A of CO by means of charcoal in a tent doesn't work, or if I'm unable to carry it out for one reason or another, my Plan B is to simply place the barrel of my shotgun in my mouth and blow out the entire backside of my head.

I've got N and I'm currently lining up a Pegasos assessment. Plan A at the moment though, is seeing if I can have some sort of recovery first.

I'm doing Pegasos as I'd really like to be in a position to openly say goodbye to my friends and family, which is difficult when you're committing suicide.

The conversation with Pegasos has been positive so far; it helps I'm older and can demonstrate I've exhausted the treatment options readily available on the NHS for my MH conditions, which have affected every aspect of my life.

Plan A is shotgun, plan B is jumping off a 150+ foot drop. Don't really have a plan C; maybe a very strong poison.

Can't imagine ever finding N to begin with so plan A for me would be say double my normal amount of sleeping pills with a fifth or so of borboun to relax. Follow that with SN and/or around 5000 mg of Amitriptyline. Slip into peaceful sleep and wake up on the other side.

Would have to be self-administered through iv, and the rapid onset of unconsciousness makes it very possible that you'd be unable to administer a lethal dose before passing out. Also, since time in unconsciousness is shorter than it would be with a large dose of N or pento, you could potentially awaken while not dead yet. Haven't seen anyone ctb with propofol and reliability of it being lethal seems low.

Plan A: SN (I can't prepare anything better at the moment).

Plan B: jump from a great height. The problem is that I haven't found the right place yet.

Why is no one considering the exit bag with inert gas?

Is it because it's complicated to gather the material and hide it from the people around you?

I am going to try nighty-night.

If that doesn't work, then the helium stuff from PPH is ready. After that either CO or SN.

I also have N . I've had it since 2018 , just working up the courage to take it. It's more of a fear of failure since it is 6 years old now, I don't want to wake up brain damaged. If I had someone to inject into me now like in belgium, I'd be gone.

I can understand that fear. As always, the key to success is proper planning.
Living where you do, you may have the option of wandering off into the desert in summer and dying from the heat. It's not the pleasantest way to go, but it would be over in a very few hours.

i have NN as plan A. For plan B, I consider jumping, hanging and VSED. I probably would go straight to jumping, here are lots of mountains (400-800m). The problem will probably be to find a suitable free flight and hard landing zone. But I haven't looked at that many spots yet. I'm waiting for good weather to check out the possibilities.

Or drink the N in the middle of a deserted area in summer. If the N don't kill me the heat will !
