I have an entire playlist of relatively peaceful songs, but the one that stands out most on it, the song I created the playlist around, is Outro by M83.

The video, the show, is the reason why I chose this song. It plays at the end scene on the final episode, as

the "Elliot" we follow throughout the show takes a seat back and watches as the real Elliot takes back the reigns of his life from the multiple personalities he created as a defense against his trauma.

It resonates with me in a way that is almost indescribable, as though emphasizing that we are the ones who have to be in control of our own fate, we have to accept the world as it is and our place in it. At first it seems ironic, a bit antithetical to suicide, and it is. But I believe it's nevertheless encapsulates my feelings towards life. I've always believed I'd be an observer, and all that my life has been is the observer stepping out into a world that they don't belong in, attempting to forge connections or relations that aren't theirs in order to try and cope with their inability to truly connect with and understand others. It may be vain, but I don't want my death to be a rejection of the world or my place in it, but rather a full acknowledgement of my place in the world and coming to terms with it. A place where I should've been in the audience watching someone else build their life, watching the world develop, but I was unable to do that because life forced me in a body and tried to make me cope with it.

I always felt like a tourist to this life, and I also consider myself to be a silly little clown guy so I think it fits perfectly. I think it's very in-character of me to kill myself with such a light-hearted song tonally and honestly it's a good bit too (I actually reference this song in one of my suicide notes).

I might not do any of these depending on how I'm feeling, but still the idea is nice to me.

Last time when i tried ctb i put this because was the only song that i could hear at the time. For some reason when i at my worst mental state i just can't listen to music, at some point I just remembered this song and thought this would be a good thing to hear while i faded out.
