Yeah and it sucks so much

just because things look better on the
surface doesn't mean they are actually. I'm still so incredibly miserable and my home life is horrible but APPARENTLY because I'm holding down a job and going to college suddenly that makes it that my life is better than everyone else's...? And this is an assumption coming from both the non-mentally ill AND the mentally ill. No joke I mentioned this to someone (who fell into the latter category) and the
genuine response I got was "Well. Good for you."
...Are you fucking serious? So just because I was forced to continue to work and go to education lest I faced more abuse from my family suddenly this means my life is better than theirs and I'm not depressed and mentally ill?? There's truly the assumption that just because I happen to "function" in society that I'm suddenly not miserable and it's so so stupid imo
