All the time. I am full of witty banter, or at least one of my personalities is. Sometimes I catch myself laughing at myself in the car. I also mouth whole monologues to myself under my breath. It's getting embarrassing.

I've always talked to myself, even as a kid maybe 'cause I was alone in my house a lot I dunno. It's weird to do it like out in public then as you realize people are nearby you gotta cool it and act like a normie

I need someone to verify that I'm not messing up. I don't really have anyone else, so I'll bounce what I'm doing between myselves, like a Q&A session. It's useful, but every task takes twice as long!

All the time. I have conversations with myself as if someone is there listening to me. These days the only person who willingly wants to listen to me is me.

Yes, if there's no one else to listen to you. The few people I know wouldn't--so I'm all I've got. I tried therapy twice, but noticed they enjoy interjecting their "professional" opinions and can be quite close-minded. I also notice that when I talk with myself a magical thing happens: I don't stutter. The relief is considerable.

You mean, there are people that don't talk to themselves?!

I'll quite happily wibble away to myself, tell myself off, get angry with myself... I know I do it more than most, and less than others, but I did think it was kind of normal. I was talking to myself yesterday in a Supermarket and the lady next to me was a bit worried I think!

Thinking about it, it probably depends what you're talking about that might cause concern.

In the Supermarket yesterday, I was only talking about where they'd hidden something and why they always move stuff around - so not of real concern I guess. If I'd been talking about zombies coming to get me, or aliens invading my brain, then maybe people might have been more worried.

I talk to myself a lot but lately I've seen myself do it even more. Sometimes it feels like I can't hold in my thoughts anymore and I might go on a solo rant for 10-20 min. Other times I have a full on conversation with myself as two or more different people usually in different funny accents. It's all pretty bonkers and lot of the shit I say makes no sense. Sometime I even let a few words or a sentence slip out when I'm around people which can be embarrassing but I can't help it.

Anyone else ever experienced anything this?
I just say sentences. And I sometimes get worried that someone heard me.
I'm too anxious and I need to express. Sometimes are thoughts I want to get rid off. Most of them has no sense also. I say phrases like 'I love you, leave me alone' when I don't know anyone and I don't think about anyone, 'I want to suicide' if I'm too stressed. I can't remember more now.

I used to do that when I was 8-9 years old. Back then it went for hours, nowadays not so much.

whenever i'm alone, i start talking to myself. i did it a lot less frequently when i was with my ex. i guess it's a symptom of my loneliness. my maladaptive daydreaming has been off the charts since the breakup. multiple worlds are going on in my head right now.

I talk to myself a lot. I don't have friends, I spend all my days alone in my room. I create scenarios in my head as if I did have friends and interesting life. I guess it's a way of coping with reality - living in a bubble.
